One of the reasons our government’s Department of Tourism used the slogan “It’s more fun in

festivals that our country has all year round.

Deepen your understanding of the artistry of Philippine festivals by reflecting your answer to
the following questions.

1. What is the date of the festival in your own parent’s province? How is the festival
called?

2. What could be the reasons why the festival became popular in your parent’s
community?

3. Do you and your family participate in these festivals? What is your family’s
role/participation?

4. Do you feel a sense of belongness in your place because of festival?

5. What are the visuals that you see on the streets during the parade?

6. Do you like the costumes and accessories of the participants in the parade? What are
these and why?

7. What are your suggestions to make the festival in your place more colorful and artistic?
