with holiday assignments.
Considering this, we have tried to keep the homework simple, informative, interesting and

notice for the students of your school informing them about the water bottle that you lost
during your sports period.
2. You are Anupam, the editor of the school magazine, and want to hold an interclass
competition to collect poems and cartoons for the magazine before 20 July. Draft a notice
for the students’ notice board inviting entries. Mention all details required like entry dates,
prizes etc. Give your notice an appealing heading.
3. You are Mohit/Monika. Everyday while going to school you see some rag pickers
digging in the garbage. You got a chance to talk to one of them. Write a story about him in
120 words.
4 Read the beginning of the story given below and complete it in 150 words. Give the story

1. Finalize your list of menu items and place it in a word file.

ART INTEGRATION WORK

As we know population is the very important resource of any place.


So do a small project on this topic.
• Write population of any 8 districts of Manipur.
• Insert commas in all the numbers in Indian numeration system and write them in words.
• Insert commas in international numeration system and write in words.
• Write the population of all states in ascending order.
• Name the district having least number of people and name the district having largest
number of people.
• Find the difference between the largest and smallest numbers.
Note: Evaluation will be done based on all the above points.

1. Find out the names of plants that grow in water and which are eaten as food.
2. Prepare a diet chart to provide balance diet to a twelve year old child. The diet chart
should include food items which are
not expensive and are commonly available in your area, stick pictures and explain.
3. Which deficiencies are caused by lack of vitamins and minerals, make a table of
deficiency diseases, their symptoms and the ways to cure them.
4. Draw a labelled diagram of parts of plant whose all parts are eaten as food and explain.
5. What do you do to avoid wastage of food? Find out the ways and write how can you
preserve it, so that it can be used later.
6. Collect samples of some solid substances such as sugar, salt, chalk powder, sand and;
sawdust. Take five glasses or beakers. Fill each one of them about two-thirds with water. )
Add a small amount (spoonful) of sugar to the first glass, salt to the second and similarly, |
add small amounts of the other substances into the other glasses. Stir the contents of each of
them with a spoon. Wait for a few minutes. Observe what happens to the substances added
to water (Fig.). Note your observations.
7. Collect samples of vinegar, lemon juice, mustard oil or coconut oil, kerosene or any other
liquid. Take a glass tumbler. Fill it up to half with water. Add a few spoonful’s of one liquid
to this and stir it well. Let it stand for five minutes. Observe whether the liquid mixes with
water. Repeat the same with other liquids, as many different liquids as are available to you.
