I write to you on behalf of my disgruntled client, Ms. Annie Hannah Silverbite, which has engaged in my
legal services in obtaining the outstanding debt you owe her amounting to Thirty-thousand (Php
30,000.00) pesos.

The amount mentioned is the value you promised to pay my client in exchange of the musical
equipments she had provided you with at the date of January 12, 2020. You then secured a check under
no. 53363 containing the amount of Thirty-thousand (Php 30,000.00) pesos at the same date knowing
the fact that your bank account cannot currently cover the check. Suffice it to say, you have promised to
my client that said check would become valid seven (7) days after its issuance through a promissory
note, but up to this day, the check was still being dishonored upon presentment for payment.

It is clear here that what had transpired between you and my client, being the fact that you’ve given her
an empty check, is a direct violation of bp. 22 also known as the bouncing check law, which outlaws the
act of penalizing the making or drawing and issuance of a check without sufficient funds or credit, and
the fact that you issued an unfunded check with fraudulent intent in consideration of something of
value you received and not making good of your promissory note as to this moment, what you’ve done
also constitutes estafa punishable under Art. 315 of the Revised Penal Code.

In view of the foregoing, Ms. Annie, though the undersigned lawyer, you are hereby given SEVEN (7)
days to pay the amount of Thirty-thousand (Php 30,000.00) pesos upon the acquisition of this letter for
the reason that your obligation to repay her has long become due.

Failure to do so will be taken as a confirmation that this matter will be settled judicially under the courts
of law, and the appropriate cases will be filed against you.
