In the figure A that was given above, Box A and E sink in the water while the Box B, C,
and D float on the water. Using the method water displacement, we can calculate the volume of
each box by subtracting the final volume of the box submerge to the initial volume of the water.
By determining its density, we used the formula of D = m/v. As shown in the picture above, we
can conclude that the denser the object, the more it will submerge in the water because of the
compress molecules inside. Therefore, the smaller sizes have a greater density compare to bigger
sizes. Regarding its volume, even they are same in mass, however, in terms of volume they may
differ depending on the materials. In the figure, it is shown that Box A, C, and D are big in size,
even the objects are different in terms of mass, they can be bigger in volume because of the
involvement of materials.
