This privacy notice describes the personal information we collect from you when you visit applications
within the Global Dealer Learning Ecosystem and how that information may be used or disclosed by us.

This notice is consistent with Caterpillar’s Global Privacy Statement, which describes how Caterpillar
collects, processes and shares personal data, rights that you may have under privacy laws, and other
information relevant to Caterpillar’s processing of personal information. Caterpillar’s Global Privacy

What personal information do we collect and process, and why?

User-Provided Information

We may collect your name, email, company, facility, country, and identifying information from any
submission form from the following systems - Dealer Performance Center, Channel 1, Inkling Library and
Inkling Mobile App, Learning Marketplace, Brainshark, Questionmark, and Watershed. We use your
personal information provide to respond to your requests for system support, which may include access
or troubleshooting. For example, if you submit a form through Channel 1’s Contact Us page, we will ask
for your name and email address as well as optional additional information so that we can respond to
your questions or comments. Any fields that are required will be designated with an asterisk (“*”).

Automatically Collected Information & Tracking

When you visit an Ecosystem application, it automatically collects your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address
and other technical information provided by your browser or device (e.g., your browser software, what
site referred you to this Website, etc.). This information is used for technical troubleshooting.

Web-based applications within the GDL Ecosystem, like most websites, stores information in small data
files called cookies on your computer. These cookies are used in several ways including enabling certain
features, remembering choices that you make, improving the efficiency of the site, and to provide to us
information about how people use the site so that we can improve it.

The Ecosystem sites automatically collects user activity from each application including viewing history,
time spent, object completion status, and assessment results. The Global Dealer Learning Ecosystem
provides an online service for you to manage training programs and complete learning plans.
Information will only be used as it pertains to providing this service.

Your personal information will be shared within the Caterpillar enterprise and disclosed to applicable
Caterpillar dealers in the applicable service region. We may disclose your personal information when it is
necessary to answer your inquiry or to fulfil the purposes of the GDL Ecosystem with legitimate business
reason to access the information. Your personal information will not be shared with other parties unless
required by law or regulation, or as requested by government authorities or for the protection of
persons or property.

Do Not Track Signals

 At this time, the GDL Ecosystem does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals that may be sent by your
browser. We may revisit this as standards develop on how such signals should be interpreted and
applied.

By logging in to GDL Ecosystem web-based applications and/or installing available mobile applications
and providing personal information to us, you consent to the collection and use of the personal
information in accordance with the purposes described in this privacy notice. Since these applications
are available to individuals in a variety of global locations, you are also consenting to transferring your
personal information to countries or jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection
as the legal jurisdiction in which you are located.

We reserve the right to amend this privacy notice. If we update or change this privacy notice, the
changes will be made on this page. Your use of the GDL Ecosystem following the posting of changes to
this privacy notice will demonstrate your acceptance of those changes.
