Thank YOU for purchasing my Prophet Rev 2 patch set. I have included 50 of my
favorite, personally designed patches for you to interact and create with. Many of
these patches have multiple ways to interact within them, as Iʼm often having
aftertouch, the mod wheel, and even Layer B be things that will slightly change the
sound to suite your needs. Here are some important things to read before you
start!
– NOTE: These patches will enter your prophet on User Bank 3, Programs 1-50,
so make sure that youʼve saved whatever programs you have in those spots
before you load these patches so that you donʼt lose any of your favorites.
Donʼt say you werenʼt warned!! =)
– OTHER NOTE: I programmed these patches with the board set to “Stereo” and
without the use of an Expression pedal. Therefore, if you have an expression
pedal plugged in or the board set to mono, a few of the parameters may need
to be changed to make it work as intended. Most of these changes should be
somewhat self explanatory, but feel free to DM me on Instagram at
@nicholastsemrad with questions if one of these problems arises.
– HOW TO INSTALL: Youʼll need one of the free SysEx based programs to send/
receive these programs to your Prophet. Head over to https://
www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/how-do-i-send-and-receive-sysex-
on-pc-or-mac/ for easy instructions on how to upload these sounds (as well
as instructions for how to save your own). I use “SysEx Librarian” for Mac.
– Almost all of these sounds have a mod wheel, aftertouch, and Layer B
function. Often times Iʼm using Layer B as an added “effects layer”, but every
now and then itʼll be simply a variation on the sound or merely a stack to add
more oscillators. Here is a list of the programs and what I was intending for
those functions (feel free to use them at your discretion). Iʼll refer to
aftertouch as ‘ATʼ, the Modwheel as ‘MWʼ, and layer B as ‘Bʼ.
I really hope you enjoy these patches! Thanks again for your purchase….it means a
lot to me, and I couldnʼt do anything with yʼallʼs support.
Much love,
-Nick Semrad
