Division of Integers
Dividing by one: a/1=a

● That is, the product is equal to a whether it be positive or negative.

Dividing two positives (negatives): a/b=a/b or (-a)/(-b)=a/b

● If a and b are both positive (or both negative) then a/b is positive.

Dividing a positive and a negative: a/(-b)=-(ab)

● If one of a or b is positive and the other is negative, then a/b is negative.

Dividing zero by a nonzero integer: 0/b=0

● That is, the product of a positive or negative integer divided by zero is

undefined.
