Gold Canyon Community Church Hosts Food Bank to Aid in Relief Efforts to Struggling
Families During Pandemic

[GOLD CANYON, AZ, SEPT. 6]​ In an effort to lighten the burden during this
pandemic season, Gold Canyon Community Church will be hosting a weekly drive-through food
pantry beginning September 14, 2020. Following necessary safety guidelines, GCCC’s goal is to
bring relief to families who are struggling financially during this time without putting anyone at
risk.

Food donations will be accepted between the hours of 6:00AM and 8:00AM on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays. Following the donation hours, from 8:00AM to 12:00PM, the food
bank will be open for the public to pick up food items.

All church members involved in the food pantry will be wearing masks and gloves. We ask that
those dropping off donations as well as those picking up food do so as well. Free masks and
gloves will be provided if needed.

Gold Canyon Community Church’s drive-through food bank will begin next Monday, September
14, 2020 and will continue through November. All are welcome to donate, serve, and receive
food items. Families do not have to be a member of the church to access the food pantry.

GCCC’s annual food pantry serves 40-60 families weekly. This bank aims to reach more
and all families in the surrounding communities who are struggling and in need during this time.
