This academic paper is going to explain the mischief rule and How it has been used by

judges in court cases. The scholastic data will build up from the definition of statutory

interpretation and extend the exploitation to the following issues; the mischief rule of statutory

interpretation, application of the mischief rule by judges in court cases, advantages and

disadvantages of the mischief rule, and finally conclusion of the academic paper.

rt needs to consider four things. that is, what was the law before existing law, what is defect

which is not supposed to be in the law, for what purpose remedy is provided in the law and what

is the true reason for remedy.
