1 Identifying Spare Parts

This document aims to help ASCs identify the model of a phone without disassembling the phone.

1.1 Identifying a Phone Model

When the phone is powered on, go to Settings > System > About phone and check the model of
the phone, ROM, and RAM.
 Identify the model of a phone by model name at the lower part of the rear cover.
The London series phones have their external model names imprinted at the lower parts of
their rear covers, which can be used to identify phone models. Table 1-1 describes the
mapping between internal models, storage, and editions.
Huawei London series has the models in the following table.
(Note: Some models are sold only in China.)

 Identify the model of a phone by configuration information queried from ComPartner

using the IMEI or PCBA SN.

1.2 Identifying a PCBA Model

If the PCBA can be powered on after being installed to the front cover, check the standard and
storage from the settings menu. Table 1-1 describes the mapping between internal models, storage,
and editions. If the PCBA cannot be powered on, check the Universal Flash Storage (UFS)
silkscreen to identify the network standard and storage of the PCBA. You can also check the PCBA
appearance to facilitate determination. To check the PCBA appearance, perform the following
operation:

Checking the PCBA laser engraving QR code: Compare PCBA laser engraving QR code
information with that in Table 1-1 to obtain the storage of the PCBA.

1.3 Differentiating Editions in China from Editions Outside China

You can differentiate editions in China from editions outside China by referring to the silkscreen
and laser engraving content at the upper part of the PCBA and Table 1-1.

2 Maintenance Policies
To improve maintenance quality and customer satisfaction, the following London maintenance
regulations and restrictions are imposed on ASCs and high-level repair centers (HLRCs).

2.1 Maintenance Policies for ASCs

All materials involving replacement in the following table have been granted the ASC in-warranty
permission. Do not repair unauthorized materials. If out-of-warranty materials can be repaired, send
them back to the factory for maintenance.

3.2 Handset Mainboard Replacement issue

Issue Description
The rear camera of the phone fails to provide users with satisfying shooting effects after software
optimization.
Issue Solution
After the PCBA of London ( HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2018, HUAWEI Y7 2018, HUAWEI nova 2 lite,
HUAWEI Y7 Pro 2018, honor 7C, Honor 7C Pro) is replaced, the software version of the standby board is
too old to provide users with a fantastic rear camera shooting effect. Huawei has now come up with the
latest version of the software. This problem can be solved by upgrading the software of the standby board
to version you can find in following table or later version.
