Chapter X Sloka 41

य य वभू तम स वं ीमदू िजतमेववा।

त तदे वावग छ वंममतेज ऽशसंभवम ् ।।10.41।।

Bhagavan Sri Krishna from the 20th to this 40th sloka has taught this
Vibhuti yogam. In the 20th sloka, for the Uttama adhikaris, the most
eligible students, He said ‘Ahamaatma Gudakesha sarva bhuta
shayastita:’. The 21st sloka, starting with the word, ‘Aadityaanaam’
upto the 39th sloka, were meant for the others, Madhyama and
Manda adhikarisfor them, to understand the tattvam. While
concluding the Vibhuti Yoga, Bhagavan said, that there is no end, to
His divine glories. He had only, briefly talked about His Vibhutis.
Having said that, He gives some means and ways, of perceiving
Bhagavan’s glories.

In this world, Bhagavan’s glories, manifest in several new ways. We

should equip ourselves, to identify, and understand them,
everywhere. We should not envy, other’s talents. At the same time,
the talented, should not be proud, of their own talents. If, we have
some unique talent, we should look upon it, as being Bhagavan’s
glory. Similarly, the glories of other people or things - such as a
beautiful scenery - should also be understood, as Ishwara’s glory.
With this knowledge, of Bhagavan’s Vibhuti, we should shed, both,
jealousy, and pride. If not, we can infer, that this Vibhuti yoga, has
not been well understood, by us.

In this sloka, Bhagavan talks about - the method of knowing His

Vibhuti.
Yadyat vibhutimat satvam – Whichever thing appears - to be great,
or glorious
This refers, to the greatness, that we come across, or experience, in a
cultured life.
Satvam here means, the thing
Yadyat satvam vibhutimat –
Whichever being, or the thing, it may be…
Here, it would be good to recall, how Bhagavan said
‘मृ गाणांम ृ गे ोऽहं’
If Bhagavan says - that amongst the animals,He is the lion - we can
infer here, that He includes all the other animals, as well. Whether it
is - the Deva loka, or the Manushya loka or the Mriga loka - the
abode of the Devas, the men or the animals…everything, everywhere

Srimat urjitameva vaa-

Srimat – If, the glory of Sri Lakshmi Devi, is manifest well - it inspires;
it motivates.
Tat tat- Such a thing,
ममतेज ऽशसंभवम ्ityeva ava gachcha
Tvam – means, what you must do, Arjuna!
Understand, that all the things, that are filled with Sri Lakshmi’s
grace, and all - that are inspiring, and motivating - to be my
Tejomsam, Bhagavan’s omnipotence - who is All-knowing, and is the
creator, and the ruler, of all. Though, there may be many things, the
one, that is the greatest amongst them - like the diamond, amongst
all the stones. This is, Ishwara’s glory. All things in this world, that are
praised by everyone, should be understood, as Ishwara’s nature, or
glory.
All - that we see, hear, smell, taste or touch - should be understood,
as Bhagavan’s glories. We should view them, from the point of
dharma - without being coloured, by our likes and dislikes, and
without, any jealousy, or pride. That would bestow on us, the
benefits of the Vibhuti darshan.

Let us understand this, as the easy, and simple means, for the
Vibhuti darshan. We shall study, the last sloka of this chapter,
tomorrow.
