Some people believe that students should be taught international news as a subject at

school. Others feel that this would be a waste of valuable school time.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
It is believed that studying a world news subject at school is necessary because of world
evolution. Some people argued that educating this subject besides other major subjects such as
math and science is required. In contrast, others believe that it will ruin the golden time for
studying more important subjects.
Regarding the need to study this kind of subject at school, some said that students become
familiar with other cultures. It seems that studying global news introduces places, ethics, and
famous people from other nations. For instance, Einstein and Mari Kouri are considered as the
founders of the world. Everyone appreciates his or her invention. Therefore, it will maintain
historical events and places by the way students try to conserve ancient traditions.
Moreover, students become acquainted with human progress. Precisely, they understood the
improvements in the world consisting of the invention of electricity, changes of the telegraph to
the telephone. Pupils try to follow their steps and promote the invention or find the solution for
global challenges.
On the other hand, some individuals argued that since students are engaged in unneeded numbers
and evidence it seems to be a time-wasting task. For instance, knowing the year of the invention
or the number of people who have died in the world war is considered extra information.
Therefore, this made it an unfavorable subject, as well as becoming reluctant and unwilling about
this type of subject.
In addition, some students face with lack of time. In other words, besides other subjects, they
might not have enough time for studying their major subject and doing their homework.
Consequently, they put it away and got devastated. However, I think having an appropriate
schedule of studying would decline those two drawbacks of studying this kind of subject at
school.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that the idea of studying global news at school is essential. So
that not only students better known about other countries, their cultures, and their traditions but
also informed about the developments happening in the world.
