Differences between American and British

English.
Giving a piece of information to readers about differences between American
and British English. English is a West Germanic language, from England. It is one of
the most spoken languages in the world today. This language is spoken by about 4
billion people in the world. The English language has developed over the course of
more than 1,400 years.
In British English: a word - trainers means a pair of shoes that people wear for
running or other sports. In American English they are named sneakers and they
are a part of casual outfit that people normally wear.
Jumper” is actually derived from the noun “jump,” a modified form of the French
“jupe,” used to mean a short coat in the 19th century. The use of “sweater” in its
modern sense of “heavy knitted top worn for warmth” had appeared by the early
years of the 20th century.
„Braces“ is a term of the Brits use for the accessory, after all. Purists will also tell
you that braces use leather or cloth straps. Suspenders. Suspenders, on the other
hand, can be fastened with metal clips.
Many British people would still call them chips. In the USA they are known as
French fries, or just "fries". These are potatoes sliced very thinly, and fried until
they are rigid and crispy. In the UK they are known as "crisps ".
The word Zucchini has an Italian origin while courgette is a relatively French word.
Eggplant or aubergine is a species of nightshade grown for its edible fruit.
"Eggplant" is the common name in North American and Australian English but
British English uses "aubergine".
And my opinion about it ? What English is better ? I might admit that
American English is 100% better than British English. Wonder why ? Here is my
personal opinion: I got used to listen to American English when I play video
games or I watch films on the Internet where is more often used American English
than British and because I am much more into American English that´s the main
reason.
