Exercise No. 1

1. Using Excel, open the file “RacingCars.xlsx”.

2. Add a new column with heading “AveragePoint”, in this column, calculate the Average for

the columns (Race1_point, Race2_point, Race3).

3. Add a Scattergram for the average

4. Add a new column with heading “STDev”, in this column, calculate the standard deviation

for the columns (Race1_point, Race2_point, Race3_point).

5. Construct a Scattergram to represent each racer with his/her average points.

6. Find out the rate (slop) for the racers Average points

7. Add a linear trendline to Scattergram.

8. Save your work.

9. E-mail your work to your teacher.
