Read the following story about a bad day. Answer the following questions.

1.- If you could change the title of the story what would it be.

A nightmare day

2.- Number the bad things that happened to the woman.

The woman forgot to set her alarm clock, she overslept, couldn't take a shower or breakfast, the car
wouldn't start, she had to deal with a lot of traffic, she argued with a guy from a red Mercedes, she
locked the car and left the keys inside it also the interviewer was the guy from the red Mercedes.
3.- Have you ever had a bad day like that? Tell me how it was.

If I had a bad day like that, a year or so ago, I had to go to work, and I didn't hear the alarm clock, I got
up very fast, then I couldn't take a shower, plus the bus took a long time to pass and when I thought it
couldn't get any worse, the bus stopped for an hour because there was an accident on the street.

4.- Doyou believe bad things always happen together? Why do you
think so?

I think so, it always happens that everything comes together.

5.- What would you have done differently? (use structures Unit 7
and 8) Past Modals

I would have asked a family member or friend to wake me up. If she had asked a friend to wake her
up, she could have made it to her job interview on time and wouldn't have had to fight over parking

6.- How would you feel after a day like that? Explain…

I'm afraid not very well, I would have felt like in a nightmare.
