CIRCUITOPERATION
Blower motor speedis controlled by the blower switch
and a resistor assemblyin the blower unit. When the
"6pp' position,
blower switchis in ,n" the motor ground
circuit is open and the blower motor does not operate.
When the switchis in the first position, currentflow from
the blower motor is restrictedby the four resistorsin the
resistor assembly, and the blower motor runs at a low
speed.Changingthe blower switch to the second, third or
fourth positionscausesthe circuit resistanceto decrease,
and the blower motor speedto becomecorrespondingly
faster.

CIRCUITOPERATION
'ON" or "START," battery
With the ignition switch in
voltageis appliedto both the coil andthe rearwindow de-
froster relay. When the rear window defroster switch
(centerswitch) is pressed, the electronictime and alarm
control module sensesgtound on the RED wire through
the rear window defroster switch (center switch). The
electronic time and alarm control module will then
ground the coil of the rear window defroster relay. The
rear window defroster relay energizesand applies battery
voltage to the rear window defroster and the rear window
defroster indicator.
The electronictime and alarmcontrol module will cancel
rear window defroster operation after fifteen minutes of
operatingtime.
