The bell rang. It was the end of the lesson and the end of the school day. All the students left the classroom
talking and laughing.
But Ryan didn't feel like laughing. He picked up his books and slowly put them in his bag. He picked up his
bag and walked out of the classroom. He was very scared. The teacher was going to give them a science
test tomorrow and Ryan knew he wasn't going to do well. He didn't understand Science.
Ryan was walking past the teacher's desk when he saw something. It was a science test! 'Perhaps,' thought
Ryan, 'it's the test for tomorrow. He stood by the desk for a moment. 'Should I look at it?' he asked himself. 'I
could read the questions then I can get a good mark in the test and the teacher will be pleased. And Mum
and Dad will be surprised!' But Ryan knew he shouldn't do things like that. It was wrong to cheat in tests.
'No,' Ryan told himself, 'I'm not going to cheat. I'll study Science tonight and try my best in the test tomorrow.'
Ryan went home and he studied hard that evening. And a strange thing happened. Ryan began to
understand what he was studying. Suddenly Science wasn't difficult.
The next day at school Ryan didn't feel nervous. When the teacher read out the marks for the test, Ryan was
thrilled when he heard his mark - 85%.
That was the day Ryan learnt an important lesson: you should always do what you know is right.
