9 keys to discern Emotionalism

1. TEACH ABOUT - PEACE, UNITY, ORDER; AND REVERENT WORSHIP
2. HAVE THE MUSICIAN PLAY WORSHIP SONGS BEFORE THE SERVICE (at least 5 mins before the
service).
- This will help them to begin to flow in anointing.
- The worship team must come early and pray before start the service.
3. Use musician of a smoother, gentler merciful music.
- Instrumental must not be loud.
4. Do not let microphones and Instruments be too loud.
5. If the service is very emotional soulish, be careful about having the worship leader talking or
exhorting between the songs or during the songs.
- Exhort keep before the worship song.
- Many times, people are destructed because the worship leader is talking too much.
6. Musicians should also be careful not to distract the people.
- Musicians must be consecrated to attention of people to the Lord.
7. Lead other into spiritual discernment and spiritual maturity.
8. If someone constantly disrupt the service, counsel him privately.
9. If confusion or something wrong has troubled your spirit, as a worship leader, Pastor or MC
must step up to break the strong hold.
- Perhaps Musicians are playing wrong cords
- Musicians are not playing in unity.
- Electrical Equipment’s are loud, not working properly.
- Many times, these happened because of natural reasons.
- Lack of musical practice,

1. TRUE WORSHIPER
i. You must be a saved believer
ii. Should be walking in the truth (Present progressive)
- Psalm 40: 6-8 - Sacrifice and burnt offering you did not desire.
- Our life is the true worship to the Lord. (New Testament)
- Highest worship we can offer is a heart and life (1) that obeys and even (2)
delights to obey (3) to do the will of God.
- Without these, all of our music and singing will become empty noise to the Lord.
- With these, we will be true worshipers who can offer our lives to the Lord.

2. THE WORSHIP ITSELF

b. We use our hands
i. Playing music, Instruments (Psalms 150:3-5; 149:3, 1
Chronicles 16:4-6)
ii. Lifting of hands (Psalms 134:2; 64:4)
iii. Clapping (Psalms 47:1; 98:8)
c. We worship with the use of our body.
i. Dancing and leaping (2 Samuel 6:14&16, Psalms 149:3)
ii. Bowing and kneeling (Psalms 95:6, Genesis 24:52)
iii. Standing (Psalms 134:1; 135:1-2)
