Activity 2. Discussion Question
1. Do you agree that man are better entrepreneur that woman? Defend your answer.

Before I answer this question, I’d like to share my observation here in Negros. More often, I see
that mothers are the ones who are more passionate in engaging with business matters. As a
matter of fact, majority of entrepreneurs that we see in our market are women. However, this fact
does not automatically mean that woman are better entrepreneur than man. Why? Because if we
try to go back to the definition of entrepreneur as being discussed in this module: “An
entrepreneur is a determined and creative leader, always looking for opportunities to improve
and expand his business…likes to take risk…passionate about growing business…assumes
responsibility for both profits and losses”. Pondering upon with this definition, I believe that
whether you’re a man or a woman you can be this kind of entrepreneur. So from here, my answer
is now quite clear: I will not agree that man are better entrepreneur than woman nor woman are
better entrepreneur than man. Each gender has their own motivations and reasons as to why they
need to engage in entrepreneur. It really depends on the determination of the person and not on
the gender. There are many successful entrepreneurs on both side whether that person is a man or
woman. What I really believe is that, anyone can be the entrepreneur at their best.

ASSIGNMENT

No. It’s far more than that. Entrepreneurship can take you far in this life and it’s not all about
solution. Entrepreneurship is life itself. It’s basically an avenue for anyone to develop skills,
creativity and enhance learning. We are not only focused towards the goal of earning a profit and
provide solutions but in entrepreneurship we are thought and molded to become a better person.
A person that could contribute to a positive change in the society.
TOPIC 2
Activity 1. My experience
With the pandemic that we are experiencing this year, we can’t deny the fact that it’s difficult to
earn some sort of income. For this reason, I have decided to leave Bayawan and go home in
Tanglad, Manjuyod. We have a farm there, though it’s not that big but it’s more than enough to
plant something in to it.
So during this pandemic, what I did was:
1. I cultivated the soil in order plant more root crops.
2. I harvested our calamansi and other fruits in the farm.
3. We already had root crops from the previous month so I harvested them also.
4. After I’ve done harvesting, I went to the town and using my communication skills I have
convinced people and reseller to buy my harvested fruits and root crops.
