o Introduction of study:

Readymade garments(RMG) are one of the most important export item for Bangladesh.

And the garment industry takes up a unique position in economy of Bangladesh. But

this sector is struggling with a number of problems. One of those problems is fire safety.

According to the Bangladesh Fire Department 414 garment workers were killed in at

least 213 factory fires between the years 2006 and 2009. A further 79 workers lost their

lives in 2010 in 21 separate recorded incidents. In the wake of a recent fire disaster at a

evaluation of the industry became even more important.

Fire safety refers to precautions that are taken to prevent or reduce the likelihood of a

fire that may result in injury , death or property damage, alert those in a structure to the

presence of an uncontrolled fire in the event one occurs, better enable those threatened

by a fire to survive inand evacuate from the affected areas , or to reduce the damage
