Casing Running System assures casing gets
to bottom in Offshore Gulf of Mexico well.

OPERATOR: Large Multi-national Operator

LOCATION: West Delta, Offshore Louisiana, Gulf of Mexico

CONTRACTOR: Ensco Rig 99

CASING TYPE: 7” 29 ppf P-110 VAM Top

BACKGROUND: Offshore Louisiana, 5,035’ of open hole, (6480’ to


11,515’) with hole inclination of 42 degrees. 7” P110 casing was run
with conventional equipment and practices and stuck at 8662’ and was
pulled.

OBJECTIVE: Utilize Tesco’s Casing Drive System™ and ream casing to


bottom and salvage the well.

PERFORMANCE: 7” 29 ppf P110 casing was washed and reamed


to bottom through tight spots without any limitations. 258 joints of
casing were run at an average rate of 4 minutes a piece. The job was
performed with no casing stabber in the derrick.

Job was accomplished in the safest manner due to the automated


handling system. Totally Incident Free - No accidents or near misses.
