Ire over Macron's Islamophobic stance
Outrage continues to grow across the
world after French President Emmanuel
Macron disparaged Islam with his support
of the blasphemous caricatures of Proph-
et Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
Muslim leaders joined the global Muslims
fraternity in condemning Macron over his
Islamaphobic stance and mistreatment of
French Muslims, disparaging and attack
on Islam as well as supporting offensive
caricature against Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him).
In a statement, the leaders drawn from
various religious organizations denounced
the offensive caricature, stressing that the
despicable acts stoke racism, hatred, and

Merits of building a Mosque
A mosque is the best of places and construction of Mosques is
one of the best forms of charity. The first thing the Prophet (peace It is also narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

The building of a mosque is a way for a

person to continue to earn blessings after
death.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Among what continues to accrue for a be-
liever of his good works after death are the
following: knowledge that he learned and
then imparted to others, a pious child whom
he left behind, a copy of the Qur’ân that he
bequeathed, a mosque that he built, a guest
house he built for travelers, a river that he
made to flow, and charity he spends from
his wealth when he is in good health – all of
this continues to avail him after his death.”

Athi River, Mlolongo, Kiu, Mtito Andei, Kwale
and Manyani, Ummah Foundation has built
mosques that are functional and Muslims
in those areas are proud to fulfill their five
daily obligatory prayers in permanent struc-
tures with all the auxiliary amenities. More
so, those who ply the Nairobi- Mombasa
highway can have their prayers at Manyani
Camp prison and stop for refreshments as
they proceed either way.
Al-Shawkânî comments on this hadîth in
Nayl al-Awtâr (2/213), saying:“This shows
that the blessings which are mentioned are
for the actual construction of a mosque. It is
not enough to designate land as a mosque
– or to demarcate the land in some way –
without building a structure on it.” At Ummah
Foundation we recognize that a mosque is
at the heart of every Muslim community. It
provides a safe place and environment for
the worshipers to pray and contemplate. The
Masjid is the hub of Islamic education espe-
cially for the children to learn Qur’an. Finally,
the mosque helps Muslims learn more about
the Islamic way of life and nurture their mor-
als and spiritual development.
