operating room every 2 to 4 weeks

Services facilities

 The Shouldice Hospital comprised two facility in one building – the hospital and clinic
 All the patients were encouraged to walk up and down the halls and to get in dialog with the other patients and
surgeons. In thought of encouraging the patients, the steps between the floors are constructed with the smooth
inclination
 There are no TV at the bedroom if patients want to see then they have to walk down the steps which was
specially designed for patients

Marketing strategy
 Profit sharing policy among staff and they give their staff a lesser working load and weekends off.
 The hospital relied entirely on word of mouth advertising
Problem now hospital is facing is to increase the capacity by adding Saturday operation or add a floor or new facility
venture by expanding.

Best alternative can be adding a floor in the existing facility as culture is something Shouldice has always focused
upon and adding a floor can help to maintain the culture of the hospital and also staff will be satisfied and also it will
be easily maintained.
