AEROSHELL GREASE 16

ADVANCED MULTI-PURPOSE GREASE

DESCRIPTION
AeroShell Grease 16 is an advanced multi-purpose Microgel thickened aviation grease
containing a high viscosity index polyester synthetic / mineral base oil with good
performance in load carrying ability and water resistance. The product is inhibited against
corrosion and heavily fortified against oxidation.

AeroShell Grease 16 is suitable for the lubrication of anti-friction bearings operating under
load at high speeds and high or low temperature conditions (-54°C to 204°C) and has been
selected for the Concord aircraft.

AeroShell Grease 16 contains a synthetic oil and should not be used in contact with natural
rubber elastomers and other incompatible seal materials.

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

• Corrosion inhibited and heavily fortified against oxidation, AeroShell Grease 16 offers
excellent anti-wear properties, load carrying and water resistance in addition to a wide
useful operating temperature range of -54° to 204°C.

• AeroShell Grease 16 can be used with confidence where both thrust load and high
temperatures are encountered.

• Good load protection for aircraft wheel bearings where aircraft landing speeds are very
high.

SUMMARY OF BENEFITS

• Excellent wide range of operating temperatures (-54°C to 204°C).

• High Viscosity Index Synthetic / mineral Base maintains viscosity and protect
components.

• Approved for application on Boeing Aircraft where a grease meeting Boeing BSM 3- 24
is required

• Good load carrying ability and antiwear properties as well as corrosion and oxidation
resistance.

• Good grease retention and water resistance properties
