The Bestic comes with a more traditional plate
with one compartment and gives the user
precise control.
It allows the users the ability to control exactly
which part of the plate they wish to pick up
from. It also has the option to automatically
choose food for you.
The initial set-up for the Bestic involves the
selection of options to meet the specific needs
of the user. Set-up and training would
normally be provided by experts when the
Bestic is delivered. However, where face to
face set up is not appropriate, it maybe
possible to do this remotely, based on the
specific height requirements of the individual.
The Bestic can be operated using a range of
switches from a single switch through to the 5
switch Picasso MINI control device.
The Obi is a dining robot that is very quick and
easy to set up and it is super easy to use.
The Obi comes with a plate consisting of four
compartments, so that different food items do
not get mixed up when picking food from the
plate. It gives users the facility to choose
which compartment to eat from and when.
Set-up involves simply placing the spoon to
the users mouth and pressing the teach
button. It can be set up easily by the user
without the need for input from a professional
and Rahana Life can provide an online tutorial/
tuition where required and where face to face
set-up is not appropriate.
The Obi can be operated by the user using
switches, and is compatible with a variety of
switches - such as buddy buttons and even
Sip-and-Puff attachments!
