FM1 6.5 Turn Spiral Separator

The FM1 spiral provides effective recovery of valuable heavy mineral particles in the range of 30 to 150
micrometres (100 – 400 mesh)

Mechanical Features

ƒ High wear resistant polyurethane trough surface

ƒ Number of turns – 6.5
ƒ Number of starts – single, twin and triple
ƒ No wash water required
ƒ Auxiliary splitters located at 2 positions on the trough
ƒ Product box and feed box components cast in highly wear-resistant
polyurethane

Capacity: 0.6 to 2.0 t/h solids depending on application
Pulp Density: 30 to 55% solids
Size Range: 0.03 – 0.15mm
Pulp Volume: Up to 5m3/h depending on application

Application

The principal area of application is in the recovery of fine heavy minerals in the range 0.03 – 0.15mm. This
size range has traditionally been considered outside the realm of spiral separators. Another application
includes the removal of fine heavy mineral particles from silica sand.
