1. Does the saber tooth curriculum still exist at present?

Saber tooth curriculum is no longer relevant to the current needs of the society or

economy. Nowadays especially with the pandemic, teachers let the students do their

task using their skills and self-understanding which help them to learn on their own.s

2 Describe the kind of curriculum that exists as describe in the article.

Grabbing fish with bare hands, woolly horse clubbing and scaring tiger with fire is a

form of Paleolithic curriculum. When the Ice Age came it became very irrelevant so to

survive they attempt to develop and introduce new skills. The elders of the tribe argued

when the subjects were suggested and stern opposition happen they said “that

wouldn’t be education that would be mere training.”

3.   What does the author mean, when he said “A curriculum should be

timeless?” Explain.

It means curriculum needs to improve as time goes on. Curriculum needs to develop

more efficient way for teachers to teach the students as society needs new and better

individuals.

4.   What is the difference between education and training?

I think the main difference between training and education is that education is harder

and training is easier. Training develops skills which will make you more employable,
education on the other hand is a process of systematic learning something an

institution. Education develops your reasoning, knowledge and intellect, you can

always train whenever you want but not everybody can have education.

Is it necessary for teachers to learn about school curriculum? Why?

Every teacher comes from different experience, and background. School curriculum will

help them adjust to the new environment. Curriculum is essentially a series of activities

and learning outcome goals related to each subject. It serves as a great map, outlining

where you need to go and how to get there. Curriculum creates a common goal

between students and teachers. Beyond that Curriculum also standardizes

the learning goals for an entire school, their mission and visions.
