Name of the company, address, phone number, date, and contact information for the team leader.

Executive Summary: A short overview of the entire business plan; it provides a busy reader with
everything that needs to be known about the new venture and why it will be successful.

Industry Analysis: Describe the industry (the area of the economy in which you are competing) you are
entering, not the target market (customers). Sections you could include in this portion of the plan
include:

Industry Analysis
The retailing industry has fully embraced the use of biodegradable products due to the fact that
the world is going the way of climate change. This goes to show that there is indeed a very large
market for biodegradable products in our world. The biodegradable products market is in the
introductory phase of the industry life cycle and is expected to explore growth opportunities
during the coming years. Some of the basic factors driving the demand for the market include
governmental initiatives to eliminate single use plastic and strict regulatory outlook against the
use of conventional plastic products. The plastic industry has emerged as an important industrial
sector in the country during the last two decades. At present there are 3000 plastic manufacturing
units, 98% of which belong to the Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Industry size in dollars: 824,858.30 USD (7,000 crore. Tk)

Industry structure

ARAS Private Company Limited will be involved in the manufacturing of a wide range of
biodegradable tableware. We are set to services a wide range of clientele in the country. We are
aware that there are several conventional plastic food container manufacturing companies all
around the country, which is why we spent time and resources to conduct a thorough feasibility
studies and market survey so as to be well positioned to favorably compete with all our
competitors.

This company will use imported best quality machines named Sugarcane Bagasse Paper Pulp
Making Machine and Biodegradable Disposable Bagasse Tableware Pulp Molding Machine
BPM-16012. Our company will ensure that all biodegradable food containers that leave our
factory are of the highest quality. We want to build a business with a wide range of clientele base
that cut across businesses in the fast-moving consumer goods sector.

Nature of participants

This company will at all times demonstrate her commitment to sustainability, both individually
and as a firm, by actively participating in our communities and integrating sustainable business
practices wherever possible. We will ensure that we hold ourselves accountable to the highest
standards by meeting our customers’ needs precisely and completely whenever they patronize
our products. One major trend in this industry is that most players are leveraging on the fact that
Bangladesh has passed legislation that will limit the use of materials such as nylon bags and
polythene because of environmental hazard hence biodegradable products has become a good
substitute.

As a matter of fact, the growing pollution from petroleum-based plastics bags and similar
products is negatively affecting the environment. The increasing dependence of the food industry
on environmental-friendly plastic packaging is a notable factor catalyzing the market demand for
biodegradable food containers. The intensifying regulation associated to the disposal of
traditional plastics in our country is a top factor drawing attention to the industry demand for
these products. Extensive advances made in manufacturing technologies and the use of a variety
of additive materials are likely to improve the biodegradability and composability of these
products, thereby unlocking exciting avenues during the assessment period.

Key success factors

Because of the high competition with the plastic industry we have to be highly creative with our
designs and market approach, customer centric and proactive with reasonable price to survive in
this industry. We will ensure that we manufacture high quality biodegradable tableware in our
factory at all times. Our excellent customer service culture, various payment options and highly
secured facility will serve as a competitive advantage for us. Lastly, our employees will be well
taken care of, and their welfare package will be among the best within our category in the
industry meaning that they will be more than willing to build the business with us and help
deliver our set goals and objectives. We will also give good working conditions and commissions
to freelance sales agents that we will recruit from time to time.

Long Term Prospective

The development of Care Plastics required accomplishing a series of action and formalities.
Since we are ne w in t he market we kept our production lo w initially, as demand will
increase the production will be enhanced respectively. Now we are manufacturing only
biodegradable food container box. The development process involves following steps:

 Legal formalities
 Office/business setup
 Future offerings and expansion plan
Development strategy

In future we are looking for the production of a variety of biodegradable tableware like
cup, plate, spoon etc. Our long term strategy will base on timely completion of the
establishment of the business centre with low execution cost. Our strategy will produce
100% natural product.
 Industry structure (number of competitors, technologies used, how intensely firms
compete, etc.)

 Nature of participants (strategies used by each firm, size and market share of each
firm, region/nation/global market reach of each firm, etc.)

 Key success factors (what strengths make each competitor successful and what does
each do really, really well)

 Industry trends (is industry growing fast or slow or declining in sales, are there changes
in technology, changes in what customers want or need and so on)

 Long-term prospects

Market Analysis (understanding your potential segments): The market analysis breaks the industry into
segments and focuses in on the specific segment (or target market) to which the firm will try to appeal.
The sections to include in this part of the plan include:

 Market Trends

One major trend in this industry is that most players are leveraging on the fact
Bangladesh and even countries of the world are passing legislation that will limit the
use of plastic materials such as because of environmental hazard hence biodegradable
plastic bags have become a good substitute.

As a matter of fact, the growing pollution from plastics materials products is negatively
affecting the environment. The increasing dependence of the medical and food
industry on environmental-friendly plastic packaging is a notable factor catalyzing the
market demand for biodegradable materials

Lastly, as part of marketing strategies, biodegradable products manufacturing

companies now ensure that they go beyond mass production to producing customized
biodegradable products for bigger corporations who are in the fast-moving consumer
goods (FMCG) sector.

Our Target Market

In view of that, we have positioned our company to service a wide range of clientele in
all over Bangladesh. We have conducted our market research and feasibility studies
and we have ideas of what our target market would be expecting from us.

We in the bioplastic manufacturing industry to supply our products to the following

fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) organizations;

 Departmental Stores
 Groceries Stores
 Supermarkets
 Fast food restaurants

n Bangladesh, our target customer buy plastic food container products which impact our environment
.But recently there are some institution established who produced biodegradable plastic bag but they
export the bag. But in domestic market they cannot capture the market .Most of our target customer
currently buy plastic food container for food packaging because there are no substitute of this plastic
food container.

Competitors Analysis
In plastic bottles manufacturing market there is no specific brand name existing so
the market is flooded by small companies which are in this business. So they are our
biggest direct competitors. As we are also not alone as a supplier of PET to the
companies as raw materials there are many companies in this region which are
supplying PET. Om Plastic Industries is one of them who is currently selling all
types of plastic bottles. So in case of business to business market they are our direct
competitors.
 Who is your customer? (e.g. age, income, geographic location, specific
habits/hobbies/interests, etc.)

 How many of them are there?

 Where will you find them?

 What are they doing/buying currently?

Financial Analysis and Projections: The reader needs to know how much money you need and where
you plan to get it from, how much money you will make and what it will cost to run your business. This
section covers the basic logic of how profits are earned in the business and how many units of a
business’s product or service must be sold for the business to “break even” and then start earning a
profit. Try to be realistic and include financial projections for three different scenarios:

 Worst case

 Best case

 Most likely case

Sales Forecast

The bioplastic manufacturing industry has a wide range of customers that cut across
various manufacturing industries especially players in the fast-moving consumer goods
(FMCG) sector.

We are well positioned to take on the available market in the United States of America
and of course the rest of the world and we are quite optimistic that we will meet our
set target of generating enough income/profits from the first six months of operation
and grow the business and our clientele base.

We have been able to examine the bioplastic manufacturing industry and we have
analyzed our chances in the industry and we have been able to come up with the
following sales forecast.

Below are the sales projection for Green Zone® Biodegradable Plastic Bags
Manufacturing Co, it is based on the location of our business and other factors as it
relates to biodegradable plastic bag manufacturing startups in the United States;

 First Fiscal Year: $250,000

 Second Fiscal Year: $650,000
 Third Fiscal Year: $1.2 million
N.B: This projection was done based on what is obtainable in the industry and with the
assumption that there won’t be any major economic meltdown and there won’t be any
major competitor manufacturing or retailing same biodegradable plastic bags as we do
within same location. Please note that the above projection might be lower and at the
same time it might be higher.

 Marketing Strategy and Sales Strategy

Before choosing a location for Green Zone® Biodegradable Plastic Bags Manufacturing

Co we conducted a thorough market survey and feasibility studies in order for us to
penetrate the available market and become one of the preferred choice for businesses
not only in New Hampshire, but also throughout the United States. We have detailed
information and data that we were able to utilize to structure our business to attract
the number of customers we want to attract per time.

We hired experts who have good understanding of the bioplastic manufacturing

industry to help us develop marketing strategies that will help us achieve our business
goal of winning a larger percentage of the available market in the United States of
America.

In summary, Green Zone® Biodegradable Plastic Bags Manufacturing Co will adopt the
following sales and marketing approach to win customers over;

 Introduce our biodegradable plastic bag manufacturing company by sending

introductory letters alongside our brochure to manufacturing organizations,
stores and key stake holders in New Hampshire and other parts of the United
States
 Ensure that we manufacture a wide range of biodegradable plastic bags

to our factory
 Position our signage/flexi banners at strategic places around Concord – New
Hampshire
 List our business and products on yellow pages’ ads (local directories)
 Leverage on the internet to promote our products
 Engage in direct marketing and sales
 Encourage the use of Word of mouth marketing (referrals)

 Startup Expenditure (Budget)

In setting up any business, the amount or cost will depend on the approach and scale
you want to undertake. If you intend to go big by renting/leasing a big facility, then you
would need a good amount of capital as you would need to ensure that your
employees are well taken care of, and that your facility is conducive enough for
workers to be creative and productive.
The tools and equipment that will be used are nearly the same cost everywhere, and
any difference in prices would be minimal and can be overlooked. As for the detailed
cost analysis for starting a biodegradable plastic bag manufacturing business; it might
differ in other countries due to the value of their money.

These are the key areas where we will spend our startup capital on;

 The total fee for registering the Business in the United States of America – $750.
 Legal expenses for obtaining licenses and permits as well as the accounting
services (software, P.O.S machines and other software) – $3,300.
 Marketing promotion expenses in the amount of $3,500 and as well as flyer
printing (2,000 flyers at $0.04 per copy) for the total amount of $3,580.
 The total cost for hiring Business Consultant – $2,500.
 The total cost for payment of insurance policy covers (general liability, workers’
compensation and property casualty) coverage at a total premium – $9,400.
 The total cost for long – term leasing of a standard warehouse / factory
– $150,000
 The total cost for remodeling the warehouse / factory – $20,000.
 Other start-up expenses including stationery ($500) and phone and utility
deposits – ($2,500).
 Operational cost for the first 3 months (salaries of employees, payments of bills
et al) – $100,000
 The total cost for start-up inventory (purchase of tools and equipment and the
purchase of raw materials inclusive) – $150,000
 The total cost for store equipment (cash register, security, ventilation, signage)
– $13,750
 The total cost for the purchase and installation of CCTVs: $10,000

Building and Equipmnts

We will buy a land in Tha kurgaon and establish our main industry there. Over there,
sugar fiber is available at a large scale from local sugar mill. We will establish a
manufacturing unit covering 14 Katha (10,080 square fee t, or 0.2314 acre) areas.

Furniture
Furniture includes objects s uch as tables, chairs, desks, fire proof file cabinets etc. usually
kept in a house or other building to make it suitable or co mfortable for living or working in.
We are using metal and wooden furniture. In all the office rooms or cubicles we are
putting green plants and other small decorations.

Generator
In electricity generation, an electric generator is a device that converts mechanical
energy to electrical energy. The reverse conversion of electrical energy into mechanical
energy is done by a motor; motors and generators have many similarities. We are using
electric generator of 400 KVa as a backup service which will give us 24 hours.

Transport
We will hire 2 Microbus and 2 vans to transport our employees and carrying raw
materials. These vehicles will also be used to take our office employees and for other
official use. The vans will be used to carry the ‘Bagasse’ from nearby sugar mills. All of
those transports will be leased.

Personnel
We will have around 50 workers at the beginning and around 12 officials. Workers will
be appointed considering their merit and skill and local workers will get the preference.
We will try to have at least 10 experienced workers who can train others for a short
period of time. On the other hand we will need some officials to run the operation
starting from the floor supervisor to the managers. We will need marketing, sales,
finance, production, accounting and HR personnel to run the organization. We will also
need 5-6 security guards as well.
Management Team and Company Structure: Many investors and others who read business plans look
first at the executive summary and then go directly to the management team section to assess the
strength of the people starting the firm. The sections to include in this portion of the plan include:

 Management team – focus on the skills, knowledge and experience that each team
member brings to the venture

 Board of directors

 Board of advisors

 Company structure

You may want to include an organizational chart which is a graphic representation of how authority and
responsibility are distributed within the company.

Overall Schedule: Prepare a schedule that shows the major events required to launch the business. The
schedule should be in the format of milestones critical to the business’s success.

Appendix: Any material that does not easily fit into the body of a business plan should appear in an
appendix.
