Cardiovascular System

Whenever I hear the word cardiovascular, the first thing that will pop on my mind is
heart, but in fact cardiovascular system or also known as the circulatory system are
composed of heart, blood and blood vessels. Among the vessels inside our body the
largest one is the arteries that carries blood away from the heart. The main purpose of
cardiovascular is to circulate blood throughout our body and its cell. This system adjust
in response to the metabolic demands of working muscles during exercise. When I said
that the heart is the first thing that will pop when I hear cardiovascular system is
because our heart plays a big role in our body. The heart’s main function is to pump
blood. Aside from the brain which is one of the most important organ in our body, our
heart is important too because when the time come that it stops pumping will be the end
of the human’s life. But it will only stop pumping when our body will experience
diseases.
There are so many diseases that our body can acquire. Human may have these
diseases through different ways, if it is from the way we live our life or sometimes from
the genes or you had a family member who had those disease before. Disease like
Mitral valve prolapse, Angina pectoris, Aortic aneurysms and many more but the group
who presented cardiovascular system only focused on the diseases like Coronary heart
disease which is the most common type of heart disease, human can have this disease
if the largest vessel in our body is damaged. They also discussed the congenital heart
disease but under that disease they focused on the Ventricular septal disease where
there is a hole in the heart. They mentioned that it come from genes, alcohol and
smoking. There are so many diseases that the symptoms is fatigue, that is why
whenever you know a person that can feel fatigue you should immediately seek for
professional help. They also discussed about rheumatic heart disease in which the
heart valve is permanently damaged.
In fact, their presentation amazed me even though it was too long but it was concise. I
thought that in the beginning of their presentation they will discuss the cardiovascular as
a whole but I’m glad they did not. I gained new knowledge because of their
presentation, even the statistics they’ presented was an eye opener that we must
protect ourselves on the possible diseases we may adapt. The number of deaths on
those diseases fully shocked me because I didn’t know that those kind of diseases
mostly happens on others.
We must protect ourselves to those possible diseases so in the future we will not suffer.
On our early age we must know what to do how to prevent any types of diseases.
Always consult a professional help whenever you feel shortness of breathing, fatigue
and other symptoms that may cause a heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases.
