ASSINGMENT QUESTION.
The Coronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic has created unprecedented challenges for procurement
across organisations world over. The general understanding has been that globally, irrespective of size,
organisations that depend on inputs they source from overseas have been hit more than their
counterparts relying on locally sourced inputs. Accordingly, procuring organisations are increasing their
focus on digitalization of their procurement processes and adoption of e-procurement to drive efficiency
and effectiveness in their procurements. From a procuring organisation’s perspective, write a brief
account of the key procurement challenges arising from the Covid-19 pandemic, and how e-
procurement adoption provides an appropriate organisational response strategy to the Covid-19 crisis
and for the post Covid-19 era.
