c. Identify and describe the building materials used in the style.
Glass, steel, wood, and reinforced concrete.
Identify and describe the Distinctive features of the style that make it identifiable
and unique; list the three most common. Modern
materials, basic geometric shapes, and a contemporary look
d. Identify and describe how the purpose of the structure, site location, the
use of lines, form, color, texture, rhythm, balance, proportion, and unity
are used in the architectural style. The
site location is usually somewhere where there is a good view. Cubic
architecture uses vertical and horizontal lines to show dignity and strength,
but at the same time to also show peace and relaxation. The form is
square based and it resembles cubes. White is usually the main color
used in this type of architecture. Since the color is usually white that also
makes the texture to usually be smooth. All types of rhythm is usually
used and the balance is usually asymmetrical balance. The proportion of
the cubes are relatively close to each other to make the buildings look
more pleasing. The style also has unity because it only uses square and
rectangular shapes.
e. Provide at least three examples of the style; include an example from the
local area if appropriate, using sketches if digital images are not available.

style.

Piet Blom.
g. Identify and describe the location, state, or country, where this style is
most commonly used.
