Therefore, in my opinion I agree that competition is essential for success.

This is due to the fact that a person will become more confident whenever one is able to prove to others that

There are many views regarding competition where some see it negatively as one might unfavourably
compare with others and find themselves to be worth less as a person due to feeling of not being able to
measure up to the other person. However, from another perspective competition can be healthy as it creates a
sense of motivation to reach a specific goal.

Moreover, from the preparation to be ready to face any competition, it also helps to build confidence.
In short, despite the negative reputation of competition, it is undeniably essential for anyone who wants to be
successful. There are lessons that competition teaches that you are unlikely to learn in any other way such as
it can serve as a drive for a person to strive to advance, build up self-confidence as well as help us learn how
to deal with failures and improve ourselves. So, decide on your goal, find your opponent and start learning
from the competition.

Thus, indeed competition can be advantageous in building a positive self-image of oneself.

Hence, this clearly shows that internal pressure that we put onto ourselves in order to compete with
classmates or friends, can force us to not only better ourselves against other people but also own self.
