VAGINITIS
Risk factors
1. hormonal changes due to pregnancy,
birth control pills, or menopause
2. Infection due to unprotected sexual
activity
3. Use of drugs, such as antibiotics and
steroids
4. Uncontrolled diabetes
5. Use of hygiene products such as foam
soap, vaginal spray, or vaginal
deodorant
6. Poor cleanliness
7. Wear damp or too tight clothes
8. Use of an intrauterine device (IUD) for
contraception.
Causes Of Vaginitis
1. Fungal or bacterial infections
2. Sexually transmitted diseases, such as
trichomoniasis, chlamydia and genital
herpes.
3. Irritation due to chemicals such as: soap,
clothes fragrance, condoms that trigger
allergic reactions.
4. Wash the inside of the vagina
5. Thinning of the vaginal wall due to
decreased estrogen levels.
VAGINITIS
Vaginitis is an inflammantion of miss which is
usually caused by infection or changes in
bacterial flora that normally exists in miss, one
of the symptoms of which is discharge from the
vagina followed by itching, lower irritation,
unpleasant odor or aroma

bacterium is transmitted through
sexual contact with someone who is
infected. In men, these germs infect
the urinary tract, but often do not show
symptoms. Therefore, during sexual
intercourse, an infected man transmits
the germ to his partner.
 Prevention of vaginitis
 Avoid bathing in hot tubs or spas that have a whirlpool.
 Avoid irritants such as handsome or sanitary napkins that have scents and also scented
soap.
 Dry the vagian area after bathing and dispose of the water so that no irritation occurs.
 Do not use hard soap such as deodorant, bubble bath or anti-bacterial.
 Wipe the vagina from the front to the back after using the toilet so that the bacteria from
the stool does not move to the vagina.
 Use underwear with cotton because yeast can thrive in a moist area.
