Letter Introducing Myself

Dear Parent(s) and/or guardian(s) of my second-grade students,

Hi! My name is Ms. Forsberg and I have the amazing opportunity to have your child in

my classroom this year. I wanted to write you this letter so that you can get a better sense as to

who I am and what goals I have in store for this upcoming year. I am a first-year teacher this

year, I graduated from Washington State University with my degree in Elementary Education

with an endorsement in English Language Learners. I grew up in Wenatchee, WA which is

where my family still resides.

My main goal this year is to create a community in my classroom. I am very excited to

get to know each one of my students and help them grow in many areas. I hope to make this

classroom a safe and positive area where they will always be welcome and feel at home. I will

try my hardest to have the best communication with you and your child. I want to make sure that

any questions and concerns never go unsaid. I hope to see each child grow in areas of reading,

writing, math, and science. I expect that each child comes into my classroom with an open heart

and ready mind to learn about what we are talking about that day.

I am so excited to get to know you and meet you soon. I hope you all had an amazing

summer and are ready to dive into this school year together. That being said, if you ever have

any questions or concerns regarding your child please never hesitate to reach out to me. My have

included my email and cell phone number at the end of this letter and I want you to use those

whenever needed.

Lots of love,

Ms. Forsberg
