Floods
Many of you think that floods are just an overflow of water, but it is much more than
that, when the earth begins to be submerged by water it is known as a flood.

➢ They can be very deep and high.

➢ Their force can bring down cars.
➢ It is caused by heavy rains, river overflows, tsunamis, or hurricanes.
➢ Flash flooding occurs in a short period of time.
➢ Dams reduce the flow of rivers to prevent flooding.
➢ Snow or ice chunks increase the amount of water in rivers and lakes causing
flooding.
➢ There are three types of floods: slow, fast, and flash floods.

Slide
A landslide is a movement in the earth's mass, which dislocates from the lower layers
and travels downward slowly.

➢ They can be caused by volcanic eruptions, soils, erosion, and sometimes

heavy rainfall.
➢ can occur under water and are called underwater landslides the hot.
➢ There are three types of slides (sludge flow, liquefaction and creeping) that
are more difficult to avoid.
➢ can cause permanent damage to homes and even death.
➢ Underwater landslides are high risk.
➢ The damage caused by landslides is irreparable for the houses, buildings and
animals, etc.

Drought
These are prolonged periods of time with less than average rainfall causing a
shortage of water at the surface in the atmosphere or in the groundwater levels.
➢ There are continuous low volumes of water in rivers from human streams and
reservoirs.
➢ It really becomes a disaster when it begins to affect crops and the lives of
people and animals.
➢ Jorts can be classified into four different types: meteorological, hydrological
and agricultural.

Hurricane
It's a huge tropical storm with winds that spin around a core called the eye. These
usually form over the warm ocean waters near the equator the warm air over the
ocean.

➢ Cyclones develop over large areas of warm water

➢ Tropical cyclone is red in a meteorologist
➢ Hurricanes take away everything they find, houses, animals,
➢ trees, agriculture, and what is in their way
➢ It has 5 categories and the most dangerous are 3, 4 and 5.
➢ A hurricane has a structure that developed from the beginning to the end
➢ It is one of the most common natural disasters in the winter season
➢ It is fed by the heat and water of the oceans
➢ They are called giant engines that use hot engines.
➢ The hurricane can release an energy equivalent to ten atomic bombs per
second

Earthquake
An earthquake is the sudden movement of the earth's tectonic plates. The places
where the plates meet are called faults or the fault plane.

➢ They can be small earthquakes or large ones.

➢ They can reach great distances of thousands of miles.
➢ The earthquake that originates is called a hypocenter
➢ The place where the earthquake occurs is called the epicenter
➢ An earthquake can cause serious damage and even death.
➢ There are 2 types of earthquakes: convergent limit, divergent limit and Rift
zone

Tsunami
The term tsunami is caused when earthquakes occur under water, this produces the
waves produced

➢ They are caused by hurricanes and storms that could make landfall.
➢ They are caused by movements of the ocean flow due to earthquakes.
➢ It is highly dangerous if you are near the sea because it destroys everything
in its path.
➢ Seas and rivers grow where there is the greatest
➢ severity and risk of tsunami
➢ Tsunamis cause extreme stress in the water, which pushes the water up and
gravity down.
➢ Tsunamis are called killer waves.
➢ They have the shape of waves in which they form with the sea from the
deepest part to when it comes out.
➢ A tsunami and a tidal wave can be caused at the same time and do a lot of
damage.

Volcanic Eruption
The eruptions are the consequences of the increase of temperature in the magma
that is inside the terrestrial mantle.
➢ Lava can cause glaciers to melt.
➢ It ejects boiling lava in all directions.
➢ A volcano can be active or inactive, but it can go unnoticed.
➢ There are 3 types of volcanoes: white plateaus, fresh air vent, and bulging.
➢ Volcanic eruptions do not obey any rules of periodicity.
➢ no method has been discovered to prevent them
➢ There are 3 types of eruptions: lava, explosives and topography.
