1.1 INTRODUCTION: A showroom is a large space used to display products for sale,
such as automobiles, furniture, appliances, carpet or apparel. It is a retail store of a company in
which products are on sale in a space created by their brand or company.
Automobile showroom is a place where it displays the products like car, trucks, motorcycles
etc.
Generally Automobile showrooms consists of single merchandise. They provide only their
single company product.
Multi or Mixed Automobile showroom: these can be of two or more merchandise, with
collaborated or different companies.
As a developing country like India - Automobile plays one of the major aspects in development.
Most of the Automobile showrooms in the country are designed in way that most of the energy
consuming. All these are continuously being used all day. So as to reduce these kinds of effects
and increase its effectiveness by means of design is a must and it is good for society.
1.2 NEED FOR STUDY: In future terms, there will be drastic change in the revolution
in the Automobile Section. As Automobile showrooms acts as the productive area or a platform
for these kinds of Automobiles, by implementing few design strategies will result in

as to reduce the energy consumption.
1.4 OBJECTIVES:
In order to overcome and saving in future there is a scope to design the showrooms with
external day lighting techniques and power saving also.
1.6 LIMITATION:
Deals with the exterior day lighting-based design in terms of adopting techniques, principles
and planning.
