MODULE TITLE: INSTALLATION OF PVC FITTINGS IN PLUMBING SERVICING

ENABLING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the lesson, the student should be able to:

1. Identify the different types of pvc pipes and fittings used in plumbing servicing.

2. Know the plumbing design of pvc pipes and fittings in kitchen sink.

3. Install kitchen sink.

KITCHEN SINK - used for washing dishes and preparing food.

BASIN - part of the sink that holds water from the faucet and it has a drain in the bottom that allows water to escape.

FAUCET LEVER – A Lever used to control the water’s flow from the spout

DISH WASHER WATER SUPPLY – A water supply line for water.

TRAP – A shaped device, usually P-shaped for household use that traps debris and prevents sewer gases from leaking into the
home.

COLD WATER SUPPLY LINE - The system that allows cold water to be supplied from the main water source to where it
is intended to be used.

HOT WATER SUPPLY LINE - The system that allows hot water to be supplied from the main water source to where it is
intended to be used.

SHUT OFF VALVE – controls the flow of water

ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Plan wisely, putting the bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms in

close proximity with each other reduces the length of the piping needed
to be bought and installed.
