This business function enables you to execute new functions in the Production Process
Industry, Procurement, and Transportation Logistics - for example, GS1 Transportation
Label. These new functions come from the food and beverage industry. However, after running
the appropriate checks and evaluations, they can also be used in other industries.

Releasing and Locking Production Versions for Material Requirements Planning

You can use this function to release or lock production versions for material requirements
planning (MRP) as well as valuate according to various criteria which production versions are
preferred and which are not and release them for MRP. For more information, see Releasing and

Raw Material Procurement Cockpit

You can use this function to easily procure raw materials by distributing the requirements
quantities from purchase requisitions among selected vendors, entering the vendors' current
prices for the raw materials, and generating purchase orders from the purchase requisitions. For

Weighing for Goods Movements

You can use this function when you create goods movements to weigh the material on a scale
connected to the ERP system and use the resulting weight data when you post the goods

Calculating the Best-Before Date in the Process Order

With this function, the system calculates the best-before date (BBD) or shelf life expiration date
(SLED) right in the process order. You can decide whether you want the system to calculate the
BBD/SLED during goods receipt through the process order, as was the case up to now, or earlier

Printing Detailed Forms and Overview Forms

You can use this function to print detailed forms and overview forms for process orders. For more

Confirmation of Process Orders or Production Orders with Batches

You can use this function for process or production orders to post goods movements for
components and confirm order quantities. You can also take co-products and by-products into
account. For more information, see Confirmation of Process Orders or Production Orders with

Clear Remaining Batch Quantities

When you have remaining batch quantities in the system that no longer physically exist in the
warehouse because they have already been consumed, you can use this function to distribute
them across the manufacturing orders according to the requirements quantity or quantity

Printing GS1 -128 Labels

You can use this function to print out GS1-128 labels as the output for a handling unit (HU). For

Batch Selection and Follow-Up Actions in the Batch Information Cockpit

You can use this function to select batches in the Batch Information Cockpit (BIC) using fields
from the delivery header, delivery item, and customer master data, as well as use a follow-up
action to display information on the respective handling unit. For more information, see Batch
