Introduction

Absolute Acoustics® NDS-370HD is a Class B HDMI over HDBaseT™ extender set capable of transmitting HDMI and control signals for
distances up to 230ft (70m) over a single twisted-pair cable. 370HD is capable to extend 1080p video up to 230ft (70m) and 4K/UHD
video up to 130ft (40m) with embedded multi-channel audio and bi-directional IR control signals. Both TX and RX units can be remo-
tely powered by PoC technology requiring a single power supply per kit, and easing up the installation.

KEY FEATURES

• Transmission of HDMI, control signals and
electrical power for distances up to 230ft (70m) at
1080p resolutions, or 130ft (40m) at 4K/UHD
resolutions over a single twisted pair cable.
• Compatible with the new ultra-high definition
sources and displays, sending signals with
resolutions up to 4096/3840x2160@30 with 4:4:4 or
4096/3840x2160@60 with 4:2:0 color format.
• Fully licensed and compatible with HDCP 2.2, the
latest content protection specification, enabling
the transmission of ultra-high definition signals
directly from the source.
• Allow the pass-thru of HDMI-CEC commands,
enabling user to control the entire system with a
single remote;
• IR extension ports, allowing long-range control
signals transmission over a single cable;
• HDBaseT™ outputs provides electrical power
supply to the remote receiver units through the
same CAT cable, making the deployment process
much easier;
• Slim design, allowing easy installation behind TVs
or in furniture.

Installation Instructions

QUICK SETUP GUIDE

1. Begin with the NDS-370HD units and all external devices Warning

3. Connect the source device to the input port of the TX unit, and
the HDMI display to the HDMI output port of the RX unit.
Tip
4. Connect the HDBaseT™ link cable between the TX and RX units, Before permanently securing the unit for
using a quality twisted pair cable. final installation, test for proper operation
of the unit and cables in your system.

5. [Optional] Connect the control system IR ports to the matching

ports of 370HD units.

6. Connect power to the 371HD-TX or 372HD-RX unit. The other

unit will be feed by Power over Cable technology.

7. Connect external devices to the power supply and turn they on.

8. Perform usability tests and validate the installation.

ABOUT HDBASET™ CABLING

Sending HDMI signals (specially at 4K/UHD resolutions) through HDBaseT™ technology is highly sensitive to the quality of cabling and
installation techniques. Thus, we strongly recommend the use of solid conductors CAT6 twisted-pair cables (or higher). The
transmission distances for each kind of cable are listed in the table below.

Note: The distances in the table above are consistent with ideal installation
conditions. In a real application, the transmission distances may vary due to 1

For termination, the 568B standard is recommended use the appropriate connector 8
with its matching cable.

Control Ports Configuration

IR CONTROL

The IR extension ports on Absolute® HDBaseT™ extenders can be used to extend the reach of control signals to further distances while
using the same cable for the HDMI signal data traffic. Each IR In port communicates direclty on the matching IR Out port in the remote
unit. The pinout used for each connection is described below:
