Description: The purpose of this Service Alert is to ensure all Cummins South
Pacific repair locations are aware of the improved piston pin, and part number
change to the ISX / QSX 15L piston pin.

Description Old Piston Pin Part Number New Piston Pin Part Number
Piston Pin 4923748 3689296

ESN first 79722689 build date 25/02/2014 are engines built with the new improved
piston pin.

The new piston pin part number 3689296 is able to mixed and matched within an
engine with the old part number 4923748 piston pin.

Action:
 The information in this document has no effect on present warranty coverage or
repair practices, nor does it authorize TRP or Campaign actions.
 Read and understand all SWP listed for South Pacific OHS&E.
 Ensure all parts and service staff involved in supporting this product, are fully
aware of the above mentioned description.
