1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 Idea Formulation:

Chokiiza was founded by six friends who came together to create a new and
innovative dessert. To start with, we came up with many ideas on various
products that can have a good start in the market. Then we thought of product
like pizza that has a lot of demand by various people, right from the young to
the old, keeping that in mind we came up with an innovative idea of making
pizza with chocolates. Children’s love chocolates as it’s a relatively inexpensive
gift for a chocolate lover, and you get to show your creative side. So we came
up with a name “CHOKIIZA “for our product. It sounds amazing, doesn't it?
Most people love pizza and we all love chocolate, so combining the two seems
like a perfect food. As we all thought of preparing varieties of chocolate pizzas,
as there are many varieties of chocolate.

Chokiiza adds another level of sweetness and renders the pizza more of a
dessert. A dough crust gives the chocolate a neutral base from which to
springboard, allowing the chocolate "sauce" and toppings to really stand out.

Chocolate is derived from cocoa beans and comes in three kinds: white
chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. By knowing this, we came up with
various varieties of chokiiza. Yes they may not look like much to the unknowing
observer, but do not be fooled! It is an absolutely delicious concoction! A must
have for the chocolate lover!

Who wouldn’t want to try a piece? I think even the most skeptical would take
a bite.

6.MARKETING:

Promotional Strategies:

 Internet:

Internet now is the best medium for broad-reaching and inexpensive new
product marketing. Creating a fan page on social networking sites is not a
difficult task and free of cost. We have advertised our product on several
websites such as Facebook, orkut, twitter. Here we also get to know a word
about our new product and its virtues. Advertising on social networking sites
also enables good conversion tracking. It is easy to track the number of
impressions an advertisement gets. On the whole, internet advertising is a great
way to get the word out there about our product in a cost-effective and
efficient way.

 Pamphlet:

Pamphlet distribution is increasingly being seen as the best way to get ones
message directly into homes and business, without the expense involved in
Television and Radio commercials and yet more exclusive than Newspaper
advertising.

To make sure people are aware of our product we have also distributed
our pamphlets in local newspaper in the vicinity. Pamphlets were distributed
outside churches, colleges, schools and in the nearby vicinities. By this way, we
ensure that our advertisement reaches as many household as possible.
Sending out pamphlet advertisements of our business is cost effective, easy to
do and can capture almost anyone’s interest. There is no doubt that pamphlet
distribution works and if one person likes your advertisement, then they will

32
T.Y. B.M.S – B CHOKIIZA Group No: 6

pass it the message to others. To reduce our expenditure we ourselves are

distributing the pamphlets. Since we have a limited budget, this is the best way
to promote our product.

33
T.Y. B.M.S – B CHOKIIZA Group No: 6

 Word of Mouth:

Word of mouth advertising is an unpaid form of promotion—oral or

written in which satisfied customers tell other people how much they like a
business, product, service, or event. Word-of-mouth is one of the most
credible forms of advertising because people who don't stand to gain personally
by promoting something put their reputations on the line every time they make
a recommendation because of the personal nature of the communications
between individuals; it is believed that product information communicated in
this way has an added layer of credibility. Research points to individuals being
more inclined to believe Word of mouth than more formal forms of promotion
methods; the receiver of word-of-mouth referrals tends to believe that the
communicator is speaking honestly and is unlikely to have an ulterior motive
(i.e. they are not receiving an incentive for their referrals. Word-of-mouth
depends on the extent of customer satisfaction with the product or service and
on the degree of its perceived value.

Our business values word of mouth advertising for several reasons. First
of all, if you tell someone how much you like a business, that word of mouth
endorsement doesn't cost the business any money. Magazine, television, radio
and Internet ads can be expensive, but word of mouth advertising is usually
free. The less money the business has to spend on advertising, the more profit
they can make.

Our future plans includes introduction of new chocolaty products into the
market so that Chokiiza has a wider range of products to offer and also this
would attract more people. These would include chocolate burgers and
sandwiches. Also we plan to start some new chocolate shake into the market.

Chocolate Burgers:

Chocolate burgers would be one of our new innovation to our already

existing product. Our chocolate burger would be made of milk chocolate
hamburger patty, peanut butter and chocolate buns and to add to this
chocolate syrup and some nuts.

Chocolate Sandwich:

Another new introduction would be chocolate sandwich. The chocolate

sandwich would be a tasty treat which would consist of 4 slices of bread and on
each slice there would be a different spread. For example on the first slice there
would be peanut butter, second slice fruit jam, third slice honey and on the
fourth slice our main ingredient chocolate bars.

Chocolate Shake:

The last product that our company is going to introduce is chocolate

shake. This would include milk, chocolate syrup, whipped cream topped with a
range of toppings and a scoop of ice cream. This wouldn’t be introduced by the
next year though.

Our plans for the next year would be to just increase the sales of our
products so a huge amount of profits is earned by the company. As for the
immediate future we don’t plan to make many changes since we are still a new
company in the market. Another plan would be to cater to the needs of people
staying outside Borivali. We would try to provide delivery to the people who live
beyond Borivali too. Accepting party orders is another important future plan of
our company.

Last but not the least our main plan is to open a store of our own. The
decor and theme would be centered on the cutting edge open kitchen with
brick arches and distinctive lighting. Our energy and atmosphere will appeal to
families, groups, and schools. This would only happen after a long period of
time and by achieving large turnover. The approximate period would be at least
5-6 years depending on our profits. This would mean increase in the number of
staff and other promotional activities
