Project work

The land for the proposed building will be rented on lease by Sahyadri Foundation
and the expenses will be covered by the foundation itself.

STRATERGY
▪ The main purpose is to start the baseline for the education. So the objective
is to construct a elementary school with 4 class room, 1 staff room, 3
washrooms,1 administration office and also equip the school with teaching
materials and proper supply of water and electricity.
▪ The project is planned to be constructed at a minimum low cost so as to
enable the parents of the students afford to pay the required fees.

PHASE 1
Phase 1 will start in year 1, focusing on the construction of pre primary school and
other necessary planned offices.

PHASE 2
Phase 2 will follow full furnishing of the building and offices with necessary
amenities and materials.

KEY ACTIVITIES
Key project of centre will include field activities, building design and construction
supervision. Some other activities will include: follow up of project plan, Area
survey and master plan preparation. It will also involve locating position of the
building, green areas, open spaces, play grounds etc.

DEVELOPMENT STRATERGY
The school centre is aiming to be leading as a start for the education of the
children of the migrant and poor workers. Who due to the ever changing and
undefined work of their parents are unable to go to school in their primary years.

FOR THE SCHOOL TO MEET SUCH GOALS SOME POLICIES AND STRATERGIES HAVE
BEEN PUT IN PLACE. SOME OF THESE ARE:

▪ Recruiting skilled and experienced staff and non teaching staff.

▪ Providing all professional technical resources and the administrative
assistance.
▪ Initiating the enrollment of the children of poor background and from the
families of migrant workers by providing them with the awareness about
new school through surveys and activities.
▪ Ensuring that the children have the access to quality development, care and
pre primary education so that they are ready for primary education.
