Answers To Given Questions

Question-1:
Do repulsive interactions become important at a “reasonable pressure”?

Answer: Repulsive Forces: When a gas is compresses, the molecules begin to come closer and
get in the way of other molecules. This give rise to strong repulsive force that acts to oppose any
further reduction in the free space of gas volume.

Justification: When the pressure of gas is reasonably increased the free space between them
begins to decrease and the repulsive force will also become prominent. Therefore, the repulsive
interactions become important at reasonable pressure.
Question-2:
Does the given busy template was helpful?

Answer: Yes, the template came in handy to make a reference point to assume suitable
temperature and pressure ranges for calculations.

Question-3:
Is your graph for H2O is similar to given?

Answer: Yes.

Given Plot:
My Plot:

Justification: The graph for Gibs energy for H2O was somewhat similar to given plot. If you
take a close look at trend you will know the difference between plots was occurred due to
different temperature ranges, I took for my calculations. Since, all gases behave like Ideal gas
at low pressure and high temperature. Therefore, my plot is nearly correct because of
wisely chosen temperature and pressure ranges.

Question-3:
Is your graph for H2 is similar to given?

Answer: No.

Given Plot:
My Plot:

Justification: The graph for Gibs energy for H2 was not at all similar to given plot. If you take a
close look at trend you will know the difference between plots was occurred due to different
temperature ranges, I took for my calculations. Since, all gases behave like Ideal gas at low
pressure and high temperature. Therefore, the plot is based on the temperature ranges I
took for my calculations. It is corrected based on my temperature ranges while incorrect based
on given plot’s conditions.
