Introduction to Consumer Behaviour:

Marketing concept start with the consumer needs and in

behaviour in meeting these needs. Every action of a person
in based on needs. The real problem is to learn what a
customer takes into consideration when he chooses a
particular brand. Such a study is concerned with consumer
behaviour.
Consumer/ buyer behaviour is that subset of human
behaviour that is concerned with decisions and acts of
individuals in purchasing and using products. Consumer
behaviour is a subset of customers behaviour, is concerned
with decisions that lead up to the act of purchase.
Consumer behaviour refers to the behaviour that consumers
display in searching for purchasing, using evaluating and
disposing of products and services that they expect will
satisfy their needs. The study of consumer behaviour is the
study of how individuals make decisions to spend their
available resources (time, money, effort) on consumption
related items.
It includes the study of what they buy, why they buy it,
when they buy it, where they buy it, how often they buy it,
and how often they use it? Take the simple product-mobile
phones.
In simple way we can say that the behaviour is the response
of stimuli. The usual stimulus is the need for which there is
action called response. Consumer behaviour can be defined
as

“The activities and the actions of people and

organisation that purchase and use economic
goods and services, including the influence on
these activities and actions”. J. F. ENGELS

Step 2 : Compute the test value.

First we have to find the expected value:

E1,1 = (12)(5)/19=3.157 E2,1 = (7)(5)/19=1.842

E1,2 = (12)(4)/19=2.526 E2,2 = (7)(4)/19=1.47
E1,3 = (12)(5)/19=3.157 E2,3 = (7)(5)/19=1.842
E1,4 = (12)(1)/19=0.631 E2,4 = (7)(1)/19=0.368
E1,5 = (12)(4)/19=2.5263 E2,5 = (7)(4)/19=1.47

I did some spot checking and it looks good.

I’m going to trust you on chi-square. The

SUMMARY
My first hypothesis test was taking on account -mobile phones and clothing’s
were by rolling out Google form I have received total 22 response were I find
that mostly people have preffered that mobile phone brands and clothing
brands so taking on account I have done a analysis by taking chi square test and
got p>alpha hence we accept the null hypothesis .so , we get to know there’s
50:50 chances of preference .

My second hypothesis test was taking on account beauty product and foot wear were
