Formative Assessment

The goal of Formative assessment is to monitor

student learning to provide ongoing feedback that
can be used by teachers to improve their teaching
and by students to improve their learning. Pop
Quizzess is one example of this
assessment,sometimes providing insane hard
quizzess may probably result to low scores that
may lower their motivations which leads to
decrease the student's learning. However, it helps
students identify their target areas that need work.

Summative Assessment

The goal of this assessment is to evaluate student

learning at the end of an instructional unit by
comparing it against some standard. Midterm
Examination is an example of summative
assessment. Although as its strength of this, it is
effective for assessing higher level thinking and
authentic learning. I used modified true or false
because it really develops the procedural learning
of the students- in a way that comprehensive and
memorization will be applied.
Placement Assessment

For example, an assessment may be used to

determine whether a student is ready for Physics or a
higher-level Physics course, such as an honors-level
course. The purpose of placement testing is to
determine your current level of skills and knowledge
in reading, writing and math or let us say physics (as
our example). This information determines the most
appropriate courses for your enrollment.

Diagnostic Assessment

With this form of assessment, teachers can plan meaningful

and efficient instruction and can provide students with an
individualized learning experience. Although, in pre-
asessments where teachers may evaluate the strengths and
weaknesses of the students. For example, identifying their
strengths and weaknesses is a form of pre assessment survey
such through essay writing, discussion, journal and etc. But
take note, this is not fully graded.
