JOB INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

1. Can you tell me a little about yourself?

 Hi, I am Patrick Kent F. Cecilio. I live in Sta. Cruz Manila. I am a fresh graduate of Bachelor
of Science in Accountancy from National University. I have some work experiences during
our ojt but I believe that I have enough skills and knowledge to contribute to the
betterment of the company.
2. In what position you are applying for? Why?
 I am applying as an Accounting clerk of this company. Since I graduated from Accountancy,
I believe that I have the knowledge in this kind of field and since I’m new in this job, I
would like to start at the beginning in order to know the details of the company until I can
be promoted with my skills.
3. Have you worked in other companies before?
 I haven’t worked yet for a regular job.
 Why did you leave that company?

 If you are looking forward to a change, what kind of job change is it, and why?
 I am thankful for the previous company that I’ve worked with, I have learned a lot of
things from there. Of course, changes are necessary for everyone to enhance our skills and
for personal growth.
4. Among different companies, why do you want to do work with our company?
 Sir/Ma’am, it’s a great privilege for everyone to work in a reputed company like yours.
When I read about your company, I found that my skills and goals are matching with your
requirements where I can showcase my skills to contribute to the company growth.
5. What are your career goals? (short term and long term goals)
 My short term goal is to get a job in a company where I can utilize my skills and improve
my career path. While my long term goal is to be in a respectable position in this company,

 I know I’m a fresh graduate, I have theoretical knowledge, but I can assure you that I
always work hard for my organization and will always put all my efforts for the good
progress of the company.
 What are your strengths?
 I am an honest person, self-motivated, passionate in every assigned work, and has a
positive attitude towards my career and life.
 What are your weaknesses?
 I can’t say no when someone asks for help and I procrastinate at times which made me
work well under pressure.
7. If you’re offered more than one job, how will you decide which one to accept?
 I will choose first the job that I know I am good at and in which I know I can contribute a
lot. If I have more time for another job, I will accept it to maximize my skills and time at
the same time.

8. If you get the job, what do you hope to accomplish in your first week, month and year?
  If I get this job, I will build a relationship with my co-workmates and with the company in
the first week. After a month, I should have achieved and finished a big project for the
company. And in a year, I should have reached my goal that is to contribute to the
company’s growth.
9. Where do you believe our industry/profession will be in 5 or 10 years?
 After 5 to 10 years, I envision that this company is very well known in our country and
already have extended its service to the different parts of the world.
