Lapland Chamber Orchestra is the northernmost professional chamber orchestra in the


European Union with 18 full time musicians. The orchestra has excellent facilities and the
musicians each have their own rehearsal room

We currently have a vacancy for:

II concert master

Post commencing 2 January 2021.


Salary is in accordance with the collective agreement on wages and terms of employment.

Audition requirements:
1. W.A Mozart: Violin Concerto No 3 in G Major KV 216, No 4 in D Major KV 218 or No 5
in A Major KV 219, I and II movements, including cadenzas
2. One solo violin piece of your own choice, not to exceed 10 mins. It can also be a
movement from a larger work.
3. Orchestra and chamber music excerpts that will be made available via email after the
closing date for applications.

Audition date: Saturday 28 November 2020 at 11 a.m. in Helena Hall in Lapland Music
Institute, 2. floor, Jorma Eton tie 8B, 96100 Rovaniemi, Finland.

Personal and contact details and education and work experience should be included in the
application. Applicants are also requested to mention if orchestra’s accompanist is
required. Kindly note that the orchestra might interview the applicant.

There is a trial period of six months for the post. The chosen candidate must present a
medical certificate.
