unheard a voice by providing
undiscovered, talented student
artists with the opportunity to
record their music, play live

Limelight Records Signs

8 New Artists
A little later in the year because of
COVID-19 restrictions, Limelight Records
has announced their artist roster for the
2020-2021 school year. With a diverse
range of styles and artists, we are in for
a very interesting year. For a snapshot of
what to expect from Limelight artists this
year, check out the talented artist roster
that Limelight has created:

The Artists

The Paloma Jahms Quartet is a jazz-

rock quartet is sure to have you on your
feet clapping! Paloma began her career
in Shelby, North Carolina. She has an
eclectic choice of music that spans several
genres. A junior at Elon University,
she has developed her sound and style
through her time at Elon. The group is
made up of Paloma on guitar and vocals,
Brendan Steuart on bass, Kevin Wilson
manning the saxophone, and drummer
Sam Ellingsworth.
Bri Brabham is a new addition to
Limelight Records this year. A freshman
at Elon, she is beginning her Elon
musical career. She started performing
as a musician at the young age of 4 in
her hometown of Marlboro, New Jersey.
She is majoring in Music Production and
Recording Arts and hopes to get started
producing and writing new original music
this year under Limelight Records.
Eliza Spear is a returning artist for
Limelight Records. Chances are if you’ve
attended a music event at Elon, you’ve
seen Eliza. She is a stalwart at most
music events as her style is conducive to
most if not all shows. She has a powerful
voice with meticulously crafted lyrics to
go along with. Eliza is looking forward
to doing more writing this year because
performances will be limited.
The Runes are a blues-based, hard rock
band formed in Elon, NC. Their style is
influenced by the scintillating blues-rock
of legend and the kaleidoscopic balladry
of psychedelic rock, accented by a zest of
improvisation. The members are singer/
guitarist Bryson Smith from La Grange, With this amazing group of talented
GA, guitarist/singer Dan Conley from musicians behind them, Limelight
Pittsburgh, PA, bassist Ian Rondón from Records is sure to put on plenty of jam
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and sessions and killer live-streamed events

new addition to Limelight Records is
set and ready to conquer the Elon music
scene. Her plan for the semester is to work
on songwriting and produce some original
songs. Her genre is slow pop, with hints of
influence from Adele.

Will Dowling is an interesting artist whose

style cannot be placed in one category. His
two singles are both about Aliens if that
gives you a sense of his songwriting and
style. He specializes in fingerpicking his
guitar and he sings. He is trying to find
a third band member who can play the
drums so he can form a trio and they can
create some eclectic, psychedelic music.

Gabe Germain is a throwback artist. His

sound beckons back to the 2000s when
the likes of Green Day and All American
Rejects would grace the radio waves. His
main goal for this semester is to get into
the studio and record music and get it up
on Spotify. He is inspired by artists such 2020 Limelight
Halloween
as Green Day and the Head and the Heart.

Rachel Coughlin is a new addition to

Limelight Record’s roster this year. Her
genre is self-defined as chill synth-pop
music. She looks to Troye Sivan, and 1989
Taylor Swift for inspiration in her musical
stylings. Her goal for this semester is to
write more music and get her current
music onto streaming platforms.
