SUBJECT: CECO Field Service Information

The following information, which pertains to the CECO fuel system, is provided
as a supplement to the 250-C20 Operation and Maintenance Manual.

Maintenance or

Air in fuel system 1. Unstable or erratic 1. Break tube "B" nut at the

and cover with a rag.

6. Open fuel fire wall valve.

7. Turn on boost pumps.

8. Open throttle to full open.

9. After 30 seconds of fuel


flowing from the bypass
line, loosely install "8"
nut tithe oovernor bypass
port (PO) with boost
pressure on. (Accomplish
by moving wrench under
cover of rag previously
placed; the rag will keep
fuel from spraying.)

30 seconds for absence of
air. Repeat motoring steps
if necessary to clear all
air from system.) Close
throttle and install fuel
line to nozzle and tighten
"B" nut at governor bypass
port (PO).

11. Turn boost pumps off,


clean up area. Perform
ground run as soon as
possible.

NOTE: Use boost pumps(s)


to fill fuel lines and
components (1) after engine
or fuel component
installation and (2) after
long idle periods.

To prevent air in fuel


system, ALWAYS start and
operate your engine with
boost pump(s) ON (if the
aircraft fuel system
requires boost pumps).
