Phaco
easyPhaco® technology

Thanks to Oertli’s clever needle design, its sophisticated fluidics concept and world class pump systems, easyPhaco® technology
offers visible and tangible benefits:

• Unprecedented chamber stability, perfect emulsification and extremely effective aspiration of fragments
• Gentle and effective aspiration thanks to excellent followability and holdability of fragments
• Concentrated axial ultrasound and highest possible power generation for perfect emulsification
• Elimination of vacuum fluctuations thanks to a capillary aspiration path

Oertli easyPhaco® technology is available in three different tip sizes. All incisions are covered irrespectively of whether you work
with sub 2 mm coaxial micro phaco or with standard incision sizes up to 3.2 mm.

HF Function/Diathermy
HFDS® ab interno MIGS technology
High Frequency Deep Sclerotomy (HFDS) glaucoma surgery is
a new ab interno procedure to lower the intraocular pressure
in open-angle glaucoma. Using high frequency energy, six
small pockets are formed in the iridocorneal angle, which sig-
nificantly reduce the outflow resistance for aqueous humour.
Area of application
Features and Benefits
• Ideal for combinations with cataract surgeries
• Very short intervention times
• No bleb formation
• No corneal scars
• No fibroblast movement to the sclera
Positioning of abee® tip
• Procedure can be repeated

Caliburn™ trocar cannula system – work with the sharpest instruments

«The lancet-pointed needle from Oertli had remarkable low piercing and cutting forces.»
Independent study*

Features and Benefits

• Superb post-operative wound tightness • Patented integrated, double-slotted sealing membrane
• New surface finish for even smoother incisions • Easy finding and entry with instruments
• Less resistance on trocar edge-entry • Reliably constant IOP during surgery
• Patented snap-on lock infusion line for more flexibility • Reliable retention of the trocar
• Incision template for exact trocar placement • Color coded for each gauge size (23G, 25G)

Application 1. Pull the conjunctiva slightly sideways over the sclera with the Oertli®
incision template.

2. Insert the trocar in the sclera through the incision opening by holding
cannula blade at an angle of maximum 30°.

3. After inserting the blade, lift the blade vertically and gently penetrate the
sclera with the instrument.

4. Insert the trocar completely until its head touches the sclera.
The shaft is now fully inserted.

5. Connect the infusion line with the patent-registered snap mechanism

to the trocar. Insert the remaining trocars in the sclera using the above
mentioned procedure (steps 1 to 4).
